Spending time at home with the family is awesome. Especially when I learn new recipes.
My mom shared an awesome salad dressing this week. My dad shared (ok, I forced him to share) his famous BBQ chicken recipe.
I’m obsessed with this dressing.
Unfortunately, all those tasty salad dressings are loaded with processed sugars and unhealthy fats/oils. They quickly turn your “healthy” salad, into a pile of processed liquid.
This homemade dressing is not only healthy, it also tastes fresh and delicious. You only need about 1 tbsp per salad!
It is the perfect addition to any leafy salad mix.
The best part?
It is so simple…only 4 ingredients!
You can make this dressing ahead of time and store it in a glass container to use throughout the week. (I like using glass containers to store my foods, dressings, etc. so they don’t pick up any plastic taste).
It is also delicious to use as a “bread dipping”…dip.
1/4 cup extra virgin olive oil (cold pressed)
1/4 cup balsamic vinegar
1 tbsp brown sugar
1 tbsp Italian Seasoning
1/2 tsp minced garlic (optional)
salt and pepper (to taste)
1. Combine the olive oil and balsamic vinegar.
2. Add the Italian seasoning and brown sugar (and optional salt, pepper, and garlic…)
4. Pour into a glass container for up to 2 weeks (if sealed).
Pour it over a beautiful leafy green salad and enjoy!
