Nothing is better than waking up to warm breakfast and a house that smells like baked pumpkin.
I present to you…heaven. Well, it is darn close.
1 cup steel cut oats
2 1/2 cups dairy or non-dairy product (I used almond milk)
2 cups water
1 cup pumpkin
1 ripe banana
1 tsp cinnamon
1 tsp pumpkin pie spice
1. Grease the crock pot with butter- measure out the oats.
2. Add all of the ingredients into the crock pot.
5. Place lid on crock pot and cook on low for 5-7 hours.
6. Enjoy waking up to a house that is filled with the pumpkin-oatmeal aroma! mmmmmmmmm!
(I love adding almond milk and pecans in my oatmeal!)
The best part is that you can store this in the fridge for 2-3 days. A quick and easy re-heat and breakfast is done!
