Wheat berries are not typically found at grocery stores. However, if you find them or want to try them, I highly recommend ordering them on amazon or on Bob’s Red Mill website.
1/2 cup wheat berries
1 can of white beans
1/2 cup fresh basil
1 canned diced tomatoes or 1 cup freshly diced tomatoes
1 tsp olive oil
salt and pepper to taste
1. Make the wheat berries according to the package.
2. When finished cooking, drain and place wheat berries in a separate bowl.
3. Mix together the beans, diced tomatoes, and salt and pepper.
Plate and top with fresh basil. Easy, quick, and delicious, wholesome meal!
Nothing beats the flavor of fresh basil!
